FAQs

Microwaves

I accidentally ran my microwave oven without any food in it. Is it damaged?

Running the oven empty for a short time will not damage the oven. However, it is not recommended.

No. Both the glass tray and roller guide must always be used in order for the food to cook properly.

The door can be opened anytime during the cooking operation. The microwave energy will instantly switch off and the time setting will maintain until the door is closed and the START button is pressed.

The moisture on the interior of your microwave oven is normal. It is caused by steam from cooking food hitting the cool oven surface. To prevent paint damage to the oven cavity, it is recommended to wipe it down when moisture is present.

No. The metal screen bounces back the energy to the oven cavity. The holes are made to allow light to pass through. They do not let microwave energy pass through.

All of our models are designed with a Safety Thermal Cutoff that will shut the unit down if the oven cavity or magnetron exceeds a preset temperature. Once the unit cools it will automatically reset. To prevent this from occurring, cook all foods, including microwave popcorn, in/on a microwave safe dish which will isolate heat away from the thermal cutoffs.

There is no programming function to prevent the colons from flashing.

There is no programming function to disable the beeping.

This is normal. When food cooks, steam is given off. To prevent paint damage to the oven cavity, it is recommended to wipe it down when moisture is present.

Press and hold the stop/cancel button for 3 seconds.

Check to see if the coupler is locked into place and that the roller guide is not damaged. Ensure there is no cooking debris on the wheels or bottom of the cooking cavity.

Refrigeration

My wine/beverage cooler door won't close properly.

It is normal for the unit to make noise while operating. The sounds you hear are the compressor operating and the sound of the refrigerant flowing through the system. At the end of a refrigeration cycle, you may hear gurgling sounds caused by the flow of refrigerant in the unit.

  • Make sure the door is not open too often.
  • Make sure the door is closed completely.
  • Make sure the door gasket seals properly.
  • Make sure the unit has sufficient ventilation.
  • In order to reduce energy consumption, refer to the owner’s manual for proper thermostat settings.

No, you should not operate any appliance on top of your cooler. You also should not run any appliance from the same circuit as the cooler.

No. Before connecting the appliance, let it stand for about 4 hours. This will reduce the possibility of malfunctions in the cooling system due to transport handling.

To adjust the lid to improve the seal, remove the hinge covers located at the back of the unit. Loosen the hinge screws attaching the hinges to the freezers. Press down firm on the lid to help seat it properly. Tighten the screws loosened previously.

The unit is designed to be used indoors, in a temperature-controlled environment.

Please refer to the owner’s manual for defrosting instructions.

The unit should be in the 0 to 8 degrees Fahrenheit range. However, when you first turn on the freezer or put a lot of food in it, it may take up to 24 hours for the freezer to reach this temperature range.

The cord is about 4.5 feet.

The oven does not require additional clearance.

Laundry

What is the black square piece that came out of the bottom of the portable washer?

That is part of the packaging material which helps to stabilize the drum in the unit during shipping.  There is no use for it after shipping so it can be thrown away.

If the unit is just using one hose, the water inlet hose must be connected from the faucet to the cold water inlet of the unit. The wash temperatures can be adjusted at the faucet. Be sure to select cold water for the wash temperature. The product is designed to use cold water to rinse, so water must be supplied to the cold water inlet.

The drain hose is 6.8 ft.

If the drain hose is not elevated correctly, the water will immediately drain. The upper bend of the drain hose must be at least 32 inches high and no higher than 39 inches above the ground. The drain hose cannot be routed flat on the floor.

Check the drain filter for any obstructions. When you unscrew the cap water will flow out.
